After the amendments by NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), Nurses and Midwives that are trained outside the European Union will now be able to apply to work in the UK immediately after qualifying.
Before the changes were made, nurses and midwives that come from outside the EU were required experience of 12 months before applying to work in the UK. This change has brought the applicants from outside the EU in line with the EU applicants.
