What is Stream A Program Australia?

Are you a registered nurse currently residing in a country from the Stream ‘A’ such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, New Zealand, or the United States (America)? Are you planning on relocating to Australia to work as a nurse? Being a nurse gives you the opportunity to work abroad, which is one of its benefits. Many nurses relocate to Australia to experience the challenges of living abroad as well as to advance their abilities in a new setting.

Stream A is a placement process of Dynamic Healthstaff by arranging employer interviews from various organisations in Australia such as Hospitals, Care homes, Clinics, Rehabilitation home and Disability centre. Nurses from stream A countries can grab this exciting opportunities whilst they are working. From Australian RN perspective, internationally qualified nurses and midwives (IQNMs) who apply for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) are assessed against the NMBA registration standards. IQNMs’ qualifications are assessed against the three qualification criteria of the assessment model. IQNMs who hold a qualification considered to be substantially equivalent, or based on similar competencies, to an approved qualification i.e. typically nurse who work in UK/Ireland/NZ/Canada with minimum of two years of experience can become RN in Australia via stream A category where they are exempted from IELTS, NCLEX and OSCE exams.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Sc./Post B.Sc. Nursing, working in UK/Ireland/NZ
  • NMC pin, 2 years of experience
  • Age limit – 40 years

Process Cost

There may be a cost to stream A nurses (potentially up to $5000 AUD for themselves – plus costs for additional family members), which will vary depending upon location of employer, years of experience, nursing specialty, aged-care vs hospital, etc.). Employer benefits are applicable.
