A good new to all foreign caregivers who came to Canada after 30 November 2014, and have not qualified for the Canadian Permanent Residency- now they can apply for the PR through a new short-term pathway from 4 March 2019 to 4 June 2019. IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) made this announcement on 23 February 2019. IRCC also announced the launch of two improved five-year pilot programmes in which the caregivers would be allowed to bring dependent spouse and children to work and live in Canada and also get a direct pathway to apply for PR after two years of stay.
