Even though fresh nurse graduates are added to the rolls each year, and the number continues to grow, nursing shortages persist. This is particularly true in places like Maine, where there is still a great need for medical personnel.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a recent report, younger nurses are entering the profession. However, despite this, the number of new entries is not substantial enough to solve the deficit in the present and future terms. The report estimates that Maine will experience a shortage of over 2,800 nurses by 2030. The gap is bound to grow because of an aging population and increasing healthcare demands.<\/span><\/p>\n
